Monthly Photo Assignment

About Face is the January 2009 photo assignment. Think about creative ways to make a portrait. It doesn't always have to be the "smiling into the camera" composition. You can read more about how to submit on our Submissions page. Deadline for entry is Jan. 31, 2009.

Hi Derrick, I've been a listener since your first podcasts and still have them all stored on my hard drive. This may sound trivial, but on Tuesday's episode, I really missed your cheery "The Digital Story" intro. It always brings a smile to my face and sets a bright tone right off the bat.

You sounded depressed this time around. I hope you are not tiring of the podcast as it's one of my favorites and I really do look forward to it each week. I'll often go back and re-listen to older episodes just for the enjoyment.

Thank you for providing us listeners with one of the best photography podcasts on the 'Net, and keep 'em commin'!

Tom

Hi Tom,

Thanks for your note. Yes, the intro wasn't it's usually melodic self, was it? But I think the rest of the show had good energy, at least it felt that way to me.

I'm definitely not tiring of the podcasts...

Thanks for listening,
