- Caption: I was testing my new CANON SD1000, a tiny powerful new camera, at a friend's house when her cat suddenly jumped up on the back of the chair she was sitting in. It was late afternoon, and the room was rather dark, so I quickly upped my ISO to 1600 to see what that might do. There was a lamp to the side of the cat, which gave it some nice tonal texture. The shot is just fine, even though a bit noisy at 1600 ISO; it's very acceptable to me. Using flash in this instance would have completely ruined the beautiful eyes of the cat, in my opinion.
