- Caption: This is actually looking up the Rio Grande River Gorge outside Taos, NM. This huge gap in the earth disappears unexpectedly, with the river meandering quite easily alongside the highway to Santa Fe, 10 miles or so downstream. The bridge I shot this from is 650 feet above the river, and one of the tallest in the USA. It looks very empty looking down on all this.
