Caption: AFTER: I helped her out by adjusting the photo's contrast and saturation and adding 2 photos I shot the same day with my D100.
The mountains I used as the photo's new backdrop were shot at 8:30AM at ISO 200 1/320 sec at ƒ/5.0 at 66mm out of the window of the tour bus we were stuck in. I then added some more dramatic clouds my wife shot from that same day at 3:52PM with her D70 ISO 400 1/500th sec at ƒ/7.1.
The mask in Photoshop CS2 took about 30 minutes and painting back the treads of his hat added a more realistic composite. I did take this photo and add some text and graphics to make my own 66NORTH ad, which is an up and coming Iceland outdoor clothing company. That composite can be viewed on my Flickr page at www.flickr.com/photos/woodymachalek
