Caption: Argentina has battled with peso devaluation for decades. When I served in Argentina from 1975-77, inflation was at 1,000% per year and we used the "Peso Ley" shown below, one of many versions of currency that has been printed over the years in Argentina. These colorful bills are now worth about as much as multi-colored Monopoly money. Specifically, the current Argentina peso (worth about U.S. 32 cents) is worth 100 Billion of the "Peso Ley" shown below.
This collage shot was taken with a Canon 30D using a Canon 500D macro lens screwed onto the front of a 70-200mm f2.8 "L" series lens. Tripod mount was used with mirror lock up activated and a remote release. The image was edited in Aperture.
