One of the fun side benefits to establishing The Digital Story Flickr Group is that we now have a discussion forum too. Here we can ask photo questions, suggest podcast topics, point out interesting things to shoot, and get to know each other better.
So even if you're not ready yet to share your images on the Member Photo Gallery page, you can still participate in the discussion. All you have to do is sign up for a free Flickr account, then join our public group. You'll see "Discuss" right there in the middle of the page. Jump in and join the conversation.
If you'd like more information about posting a photo to TDS, read how to submit. So, whether you're sharing your photos or your thoughts, we're happy to have you as part of our virtual camera club.

After Mr. Story's last podcast urging us to use good taste and common sense when posting photos on TDS via Flickr, I was very disappointed to read Mr. Story's comments about Al Gore and his movie today on The Digital Story Web site.
First, this should not be a political forum / site.
Second, good taste and common sense, and a sense of fairness, would provide references to other points of view concerning the cause(s) of global warming. There are MANY reputable scientists who refute Mr. Gore's claim of the cause-and-effect of global warming.
Mr. Story, apparently your e-mail filters prevent me from contacting you directly, so I am using this post to request the following:
I hereby revoke my permission to display or use any images submitted by me (as Grab Shots or Photo Assignments), and I request that my Photo Assignments displayed for Texture and Self Portrait Photo Assignments be removed as soon as possible. Please contact me directly when these items are accomplished.
Thank you, and best of luck in the future.
Sorry you feel that way Jim. Best of luck with your photography.
I know this is really boring and you are skipping to the next comment, but I just wanted to throw you a big thanks - you cleared up some things for me!
