I stopped by the Casio booth here at Macworld and played with the Casio EXILIM Pro EX-F1. It's still in the final stages of development, but they should have a full production model ready for testing by PMA. I have an appointment with Casio there to test the latest version.
I'm excited by these specs: 60 fps still photography, CMOS sensor, DNG format, 7 fps burst mode with flash, HD and SD video, external mic jack, and tons of other goodies. This camera is a true speed demon.
I'll report more after testing the finished model in Las Vegas, but I wanted to get it on your radar now.

I can just imagine the next version of Nikon's D3 (probably the D3x or D4) with a 30megapixel FX shooting raw / dng format at 60 frames a second - this technology is advancing extremely fast.
I would be very interested to know how long this Casio could keep up its 60 fps, presumably only for a few seconds not minutes. But certainly, this is the direction digital cameras are heading.
I'm curious as to the resolution. 60fps at 6Mp is about 360MB/s. That is a fast bus for a computer (a year or so ago ;).
Doesn't this also do up to 1200 fps are a much smaller resolution? There's either some nifty trickery going on inside or something revolutionarily sensitive about that CMOS.

I have an appointment with Casio at PMA to learn more about this camera. I'll make sure I post a follow-up after that. I'll also take a memory card and record some pictures to analyze.
