Apple's new iPad may turn out to be an important tool for photographers. In addition to its ability to be a portable portfolio display, it can often substitute for a much heavier laptop and fit in the front pocket of backpacks. Then, as new apps appear for it, it should become a wireless extension of our photo workflow. In this podcast, I discuss the possibilites of this new device.

Hello Derrick,
Enjoyed the podcast about the Ipad - our versions are not due till LATE APRIL worse luck but you forgot that Photoshop's application is ideal for the iPad to show customers just a little of what can be done when you display the pictures using the iPads screen. Obviously more apps will follow but the photoshop one is ideal for the iPad.

I enjoyed and listened to your iPad podcast and also TWIP I am waiting anxiously for Lynda.com Aperture 3 lessons.I have iPad now and so do you. I am loving it.How do I integrate Aperture 3 with iPad? You mentioned something in your podcast.
Derrick,
You mentioned you didn't want to use the iPad and a temp storage device for files but I think I would like to.
I see from the specs the picture app does support Raw and there is a USB from camera port available to import files. I am wondering if the USB port will support a card reader so I can import from my CF Cards. Please let me know if you know.
Thanks,
Mark
Photography is my passion and I use a variety of PC based tools and mobile apps . On iPhone and iPads , I mostly edit my photographs on using an app called “Photo Splash FX”. Its easy to use interface, plethora of editing options and stability made it my favorite app. Please check out this.
