CF Card Reader for iPad

It's about time someone produced one of these: a CF card reader for iPad and iPad 2. It also includes a USB port, although I'm not sure what you can do with that. Maybe connect a second camera?

I just placed an order with the M.I.C. Store (stands for made in China, I believe). The item cost $29.90 plus shipping for a total cost of $36.50 US. It will be a couple weeks before I receive it. I'll let you know how it goes.

It may be that the usb is there so you don't need to take the CF card from the camera. Which is actually a bad idea most of the time.
Or you can change a different camera with SD for example.

I got the SD/microSD/USB version from MIC.
It transfers images randomly. Some small some large; some sRGB some Adobe RGB; jpg only; etc.

I read this gotcha somewhere else:

The only sad part is this accessories doesn’t work with USB on your iPad because it emits less USB power and this device needs power of more than 20mA.

Big gotcha, if you ask me! I hope you can tell us otherwise once you've received it. In the meantime, I'll be checking if my card reader + Apple's CCK don't work.

BTW, that's probably what the USB port is for.

I just use my USB connected card reader with my iPad to transfer images. Works perfectly. No problemsQ
